Congratulations to all of the Marin Century riders!! It was great to be able to see most all of the TA riders at the finish line (sorry, Ron...Ted and I didn't get to the finish until 3 PM, long after you had headed home). Ralph was the first TA rider that we saw and for a guy who just spent 9 hours the day before on a plane, he looked great! After cheering on a bunch more riders, we saw Lucy cross the line all smiles after completing her second full century. She confessed to having had a flat tire at mile 95 but luckily her new-found friends and a SAG driver helped her fix it in no time.
We saw the remaining Team Alameda riders come around the corner to the elementary school and we started cheering very loudly! We were glad that everyone was safe and didn't have any mechanical issues. Thanks, Stacie, for allowing us to hang out post-ride and visit. Your friends have a great kitchen!! Hopefully, I can try this ride next year. Gwyn |
